I designed Be Bold Group to support women to continue to take up space. I launched Be Bold after having to speak up for myself and fully step into my identity as a leader. I was able to realize that being bold does not require much. It simply requires us to take that first step before we are ready. To me, being a little bold means that we do not always feel that we have the courage to show-up as leaders, but we just have to take that step in the right direction (and have the right support system to hype us up the entire way).
WHY
I’m Barbara San-Roman — founder and CEO of Be Bold Group.
I teach founders and corporate executives to manage change, develop their leadership capacity, and build highly effective teams so that they can show up authentically as leaders while running high impact organizations. Through our human based approach to leadership, we’re able to create the conditions for women in leadership to thrive.
I am a former educator, current university professor, and have my doctorate in organizational leadership. From leading teams of 2 to 100 to managing multi-million dollar budgets, I have always understood that highly effective teams led by bold leadership are the foundation to the future success of any organization.

My first examples of leadership came from the women in my family– I come from strong family roots and even stronger women. They would constantly speak up and advocate for themselves and their daughters in spaces not designed for them.
I do this work so that the people I work with don't ever dim their light. We're no longer fitting ourselves into a box. We're blowing up the system, and reimagining our own.
Why Us
Leadership is not a state of mind, and it does not come naturally. Leadership is the ability to be vulnerable, reflective, adaptable, and pretty damn bold.
